Bumping techniques

Pure bump, static bump or with rubbers?
Lock bumping is not supernatural! With practice it can become a formidable arsenal in the armoury. There are a few techniques out there that locksmiths adopt.
The Pure bump method- this involves pulling the key out one click hitting it with the bump hammer while applying light tension, if the lock doesn't open repeat the method by pulling out the key and starting again. Many locksmiths favour this method as its a lot quieter and also minimises the risks of damaging the tip of the key.
Static bump- a very overlooked technique where you simply insert the key fully and with light tapping and tensioning we can get the lock to ope. This method is highly successful on bump keys that have zero lift or 'special cuts' in them to counteract shielded chambers.
Rubber method- this is designed to have a spring action on the key meaning you can keep hitting and tensioning the key without having to reset. Another favoured method as you can just keep hitting and tensioning altering velocity without the need to reset.
